About the Blogger Whit

Whitney Petit is an Epilepsy Blogger, Patient Leader & Advocate who takes us on her life’s journey through her blog Changing Focus.  Whitney was first diagnosed with epilepsy in 1986 and currently lives with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. She works with patients to help them take control of their lives with epilepsy and companies to show that patients are more than their diagnosis. Whitney has also dedicated her life to self-care, learning that making yourself a priority can make all the difference on your health journey. She teaches us that there is an amazing life that can be achieved WITH epilepsy!

I felt that it was time I shared my story, my journey and join the fight to raise awareness. I want to help others who are too afraid to speak up. You can still achieve every dream, every goal no matter your diagnosis. I have, and I am still going!! I am the founder of Changing Focus and Changing Focus: Epilepsy Edition. Every blog post is from my personal experiences and are my own opinions. I cannot stress enough to PLEASE speak with your doctor if you feel something may help you. My advocacy doesn’t stop with Epilepsy. You will also see post about volunteer work, Pancreatic Cancer, Breast Cancer, Health Technology and the healthcare system. I believe in reaching every aspect of life!

Let’s work together!
